Emergencies will always be given priority care. 


The staff will make every attempt possible to contact you and advise you of any delays. Please work with the staff to ensure that all contact details on file are up to date. Good communication requires good data.


Grand Central Medical Centre Front desk staff will sometimes ask for additional information about your medical condition when allocating an appointment time. Doctors ask the staff to gather this information to improve the flow time for all patients through the medical centre.


If you know that you have multiple concerns or paperwork that needs to be completed please ask the receptionist for a longer appointment.

Our practice is committed to offering you the very best in preventative medicine.

Reception Staff will seek your permission to include you and your family members in our reminder system. This system send reminders for routine recalls and ongoing health reminders

Cultural Background and Ethnicity

It is the commitment of our practice to provide the best preventative care. To ensure that your care is tailored to your needs we encourage you to identify your cultural background and/or ethnicity on your medical record. If you identify with a particular background, please let the front desk staff or your doctors know at your next appointment.

Translating and Interpreting Service

Interpreter service is available for those patients that struggle with English or those who are not English speaking. The front desk staff can make bookings with the TIS to enable the doctor to offer the most appropriate care. Currently Grand Central has a large number of patients using this service when visiting the doctor. 

Multicultural Practice

Violent and Aggressive Behaviour

The Doctors, staff and patients at Grand Central have the right to feel safe in their workplace. Violent and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. Any patient who is abusive or violent towards any staff member or any doctor will be refused medical care. Patients who are aggressive / violent will be reported to Grand Central Security and the event may be reported to the Police. 

Management of your Personal Health Record


Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to main security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. Please speak to your Doctor or the Practice Manager if you wish to access your record.
